Program Components
Statewide graduate level endorsement in Reading with a Master’s in Education
- Pursue a Master’s degree while teaching
- Earn a Reading Endorsement
- Attend classes on the Fairbanks campus or at a rural site
- Work with committed faculty who provide opportunities for professional dialogue
- Students who already have a Master’s degree may complete a 24 credit reading endorsement program
- Implement successful strategies in your classroom and share them with colleagues

Minimum 33 credits required. Cost is $268 per credit hour (based on the
2006-2007 catalog)
ED 601, ED 603, ED 698 and ED 699 are M.Ed. core classes that may be taken
any semester but must be taken in order. *Six credits total are required
for ED 698 or ED 699.

- 4-5 page written essay, which describes career goals and educational philosophy
- Three letters of reference
- Resume
- Copy of current teaching certificate
- GRE scores if undergraduate GPA is below a 3.0
Students may begin classes prior to being admitted, but are encouraged to apply during first semester of classes.
