Mary Matthews is the Director of Disability Services at University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). She has lived in Alaska for 30 years and worked in the field of disabilities for 25 of those years. She has a master's degree in Art Therapy from Pratt Institute and is a poet and installation artist. Her dog breed is Great Pyrenees.
I have been working for Disability Services for 3 years and graduated from UAF in 2004 with a BA in English. Big moments in my life include hiking 500 miles of the Appalachian Trail, traveling to Europe, and my current project of building a house. I intend to go on to graduate school to become an Occupational Therapist. If you stay in Fairbanks you may even catch me dressed up in a crazy costume for the Midnight Sun Run, like last years Princess Peach.
