Which math class is for me?

Placing into the RIGHT math class!

The best way to answer this question is to go to the Testing Center at your campus and take a placement test. On the Fairbanks campus the Testing Center is located on the second floor of Gruening Building. There you can take the Accuplacer Placement Test. Plan one to two hours to take the test. It is not a timed test. After you take the test you will get a printout indicating which class you should take.   Discuss this with your advisor and choose the class that is best for you!

Everybody has a starting place in math. You will gain confidence and pass your math classes if you start in the right place. Don’t worry about how long it will take you.  You’re here to learn, so start where you need to and plan to succeed!
