907-786-1635

Val Warzewick is a lifelong native Alaskan resident originally from the Yukon-Kuskokwim area (Bethel and Kongiganak) and now lives in Wasilla. She has been with the UAF College of Community and Rural Development (CRCD) Health Programs, as an Instructional Designer since January 2006.

Val was previously employed by the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation for ten and a half years as the Chief Information Officer and held other positions in Information Technology, Hospital Administration, and in the ER/Patient Travel Offices.

She is excited to join the UAF CRCD Health Programs and assist in developing distance delivery education for Alaskans throughout the state. She is particularly excited to be part of developing distance education for rural Alaskan village residents, as she believes in the "growing our own" philosophy and believes education delivered closer to home in the villages will ensure more success for the student.
