Annie moved
to Alaska from Colorado when she completed her Masters
Degree in Social Work in 1986 at the University of Denver.
Colorado taught her a love for the outdoors when she moved
to Ft. Yukon, working for Tanana Chiefs Conference. She
quickly fell in love with Alaska, raising her family here.
Annie also worked as the Director for Fairbanks Native
Association Family Focus programs for homeless youth, as
well as several other positions throughout the state,
including the Anchorage Vietnam Vet Center, private
practice, and the Breast Cancer Detection Center.
Annie joined the Rural Human Service program family (RHS)
based at the Interior Aleutians Campus in 2006. As the
Director, she has oversight of the RHS programs now active
at four campuses. She is proud to be part of such an
important program built with such quality and intention.
