Robyn Henry has over
fourteen years experience working in the Alaska
Behavioral Health System working directly with rural
behavioral health
providers as both a trainer and consultant.
She has been working in the behavioral health field for
twenty years and holds a master's degree in Rehabilitation
Counseling with a specialization in Psychiatric
Rehabilitation from Boston University.
From 2001-2003 Ms Henry created and directed the Rural
Mental Health Training and Consultation and from 1992 to
1997 Ms. Henry worked as a faculty member at the University
of Alaska Anchorage to create and direct the Community
Support Training and Technical Assistance Program. From 1997
to 2000 Ms. Henry has served as executive director of NAMI
Alaska, a statewide program that provides education and
advocacy support to people with mental illness and their
families. In 1997
Ms Henry began providing independent contract services and
among other work, she served as a Northern Community Resources facilitator for
community site
reviews for behavioral health programs as well as has taught
a variety of graduate and undergraduate course work in the
Behavioral Health field.
Ms. Henry is currently an Assistant Professor for the
University of Alaska
Fairbanks in the Rural Human Services Program where she
coordinates the
Anchorage regional program & teaches courses focused on
building students’
clinical skills. |
