The AFES Palmer Research Laboratory was renamed Kerttula Hall  in a dedication ceremony Aug. 29. The name change is in honor of Sen. Jay Kerttula, Alaska’s longest-serving legislator and a longtime advocate for agricultural research in Alaska.

The Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program is offering The Business of Fish, a class to help Alaska’s commercial fishermen learn more about business management. Anna Coulter and Theresia Schnurr, Alaska Nanooks cross country, were named co-runners of the week by the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. This is the second year Coulter was named runner of the week after the first races of the season.
