Partnerships, Roles & Commitments Use this section to tell the reviewers about yourself and why you can be trusted to use the requested funds effectively. Be sure that the roles of all personnel, especially project leaders are described clearly. This information is important so that reviewers can understand their involvement, leadership, and commitment to your proposed project. This section provides you the opportunity to showcase the knowledge and skills of key personnel and partners involved in your proposed project. You are asked to identify a Project Leader that meets the Eligibility Requirements of the grant program. This individual is responsible for the success of the project and all reporting requirements. Each proposal must also identify a second Project co-Leader at the school district/agency level for the purpose of fiscal management and to ensure that the project follows procedures. Be sure to provide practical experience, as well as level of expertise and educational background for both of these individuals. Also, make sure this information is relevant to the grant program and the proposed project. Reviewers will look to see whether the project staff has the experience to implement and manage a successful project. Proposed projects must represent a partnership between educators, school districts, and one of the five regional College of Rural Alaska (CRA) extended campuses. CRA also encourages the use of "project teams". These teams may include other educators - in and outside of the school district/agency; community leaders; business representatives; other university faculty and/or staff; and local elders. Describe partnerships involved in the project, as well as a brief scope of work for all personnel, even if you are not requesting funds for their contributions. Their involvement represents an in-kind contribution to your project and should be documented. This section is where you will document any matching, or in-kind contributions to your proposed project. These contributions will add to the success of your project and need to be clearly defined. In addition to describing each partner’s qualifications and role with the project, any financial support for the project should be recorded. Below is an example of how to present this information: Source In-Kind Contribution Value National Park Service 20 hrs staff time @ $20/hr $400.00 UAF Office Supplies (list supplies) $ 75.00 Outreach Plan The Outreach Plan requires you to think about the finished project: You finished your project and have the results, how are you going to share all your information? This section of the RFP is a short description of the different formats you will use to publish your project and the results. Make sure you keep this plan realistic based on the resources available to you. The reviewers will consider the detail of your Outreach Plan, and remember the quality and/or sophistication of your Internet publication will not be used as a component of the review process. The Outreach Plan is limited to 250 words. Please keep this in mind while you write this section. Good Example Links: Salmon Resources and Selawik Sample These are examples of funded mini-grant projects. The RFP requirements have changed since these projects were funded, so there are differences between the past and current RFP applications. UAF
