Graduate Degree Program in Professional Communication
Requirements for the M.A. Degree, Communication Track

 

Course Requirements (30 -34 credits) for Communication Track
Complete a minimum of 24 credits at the 600 level (a maximum of 6 credits of approved 400 level courses may be included in the 30 - 34 credit requirements):
(All courses listed have 3 credits except thesis, which has 6)

Required Courses (24 credits):

Complete Two of the Elective Courses (6 credits)


(Alternatively, students in the Communication Track may take 400 and 600 level courses in Art, Education, English, Journalism and Broadcasting, Communication, Marketing, Business Administration, and Northern Studies as well as graduate level independent studies to fulfill the 6 credit elective requirement, if approved by the student's committee. Students will also be able to apply up to 6 credits of appropriate graduate level coursework from other universities in the elective area if approved by the student's committee.)

Additional Requirement for Teaching Assistants (1 credit per semester for a total of 4 credits):
