    I joined the Communication Department Faculty in 1994.I have a B.A. in Writing from Southwest Missouri State University, a M.S. in Communication from Southwest Missouri State University, and a Ph.D in Communication from Southern Illinois University.

    My academic interests are Interpersonal Communication, particularly in regard to relationships, Gender Communication, Family Communication, Organizational Communication, and phenomenological methods. Choosing to be in Alaska reflects both my professional and personal needs. The natural and cultural environments fulfill these needs.

    I joined the Communication Department Faculty in 1993. I have a B.A. in English from Washburn University, a M.A. in Native American Literature from the University of Oklahoma, and a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Oklahoma.

    My academic interests are Intercultural Communication, Organizational Culture, Qualitative Methodology, Health Communication, and Ethnomethodological Studies. Social approches to communication are at the heart of all these interests. My move to Alaska reflects my desire to locate in a place where cultural plurality is an everyday fact of life.

    I joined the Communication Department Faculty in 1979. I have a B.S. in Literature from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a M.S. in Communication also from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Ph.D from Michigan State University.

    My academic interests are Intercultural Communication, Communication and Language, Interpersonal Communication, and Communication Theory.

    I fascinated by the ways people conjointly co-constitute their relationships and how they interact with one another in everyday conversation.

    My academic interests are Organizational Communication, Group Communication, and Conflict Management Communication. Choosing to be in Alaska reflects both
    my personal and professional desire to explore. The beauty of the world around me and the warmth of the people here create a wonderful environment for growth.
