There has never been a more exciting time to pursue a PhD at UAF. Students in Chemistry and Biochemistry find faculty who are dedicated both to research and teaching excellence in a university that promotes cutting edge discoveries relating to high-latitude biological, physical, environmental and human sciences. Our department offers six different degrees: The M.S. or Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the M.S. or Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry, and the M.S. or M.A. in Chemistry.
