Graduate Application Process & Forms

Prospective students generally apply during the school year preceding the Fall semester they plan to attend, although some students do enter in the spring semester.

Follow the requirements and procedures described on the UAF Graduate School web page. You must submit scores for the Graduate Record Exam and TOEFL Exam.

For your 3 Letters of Reference, use the Reference Form posted at this web site.

Note that there is a non-refundable application fee (currently $50).

Include a carefully written Statement of Graduate and Research Interests and Professional Goals. This important statement should be one or two pages long, and be carefully typed or printed using a word processor. It should give details of your specific scientific interests, your personal background as it has shaped your interests, and your professional goals. Explain what areas of molecular science you are interested in. Finally, and most importantly, point out research areas of specific UAF Environmental Chemistry professors that appeal to you.
