From May 20, 2013 until August 30, 2013, the Student Health and Counseling Center is on Summer Hours
8:00 am - 1:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Closed on Fridays, Weekends and UAF Holidays. We will resume our regular hours beginning Tuesday, Sept 3rd. which are 8 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
What is Available?
Medical and Counseling services will be provided. For an appt. please call 474-7043.

Who is eligible?
Students enrolled in 6 credits or more during the Summer Sessions will be assessed a mandatory health center feeof $66.
Students who do not plan to take summer courses or are enrolled in less than 6 summer credits may use the center for the same fee (called the optional summer bridge fee) if they are enrolled in the upcoming fall semester for 6 or more credits and were eligible for health center services in the preceding spring semester.
If a student is taking less than 6 credits and does not qualify for the bridge fee, he/she is not eligible for health center services.
How much does it cost?
The fee is $66 and entitles users to basic medical and counseling services at the center.
Medical: Acute and chronic illness, physicals, lab services, medication refills.
Counseling: New and continuing students with general counseling needs.
Other: Student health insurance and administrative services.
What if I plan to spread my credits out over the summer?
The health center fee is based on a student’s cumulative credit hours over the course of the summer. If a student plans to take a total of 6 credits during the summer he/she is encouraged to register early in order to be able to take advantage of the health center during all the summer months.
Summer Insurance for Students is $463. Students must be taking a minimum of 6 credit hours to be eligible for student insurance during the summer unless they have had coverage during spring and will be coming back in the fall. Students must ask to have the insurance of $463 fee added to their accounts.
The cutoff date to add summer insurance is May 31, 2013, If you miss this deadline, you will not be able to add the student insurance to your fees later.
ATTENTION STUDENTS: The summer Health Center Fee is not automatically assessed to your account even if you have paid for:
Spring/Summer Insurance, Annual Insurance or Graduate Student Insurance.
Students have to add the $66 Health Center fee to their student account if they want to continued use of the Health Center services during the summer months.
