Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services, Executive Officer
Kari Burrell, was appointed Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services by Chancellor Brian Rogers in February 2015. She also serves as UAF’s Executive Officer and functions as chief of staff to the chancellor. Burrell earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and her master’s degree in public policy from the Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Burrell is a strategic, big picture thinker with extensive project management experience and a track record of success working in multidisciplinary, fast-paced, high-pressure and often uncertain environments. She served in the Governor’s Executive Policy Office in the State of Washington as executive policy advisor from 2001-2009 and as the policy director since 2010. She also has experience working for a national private sector consulting firm and private not-for-profit agencies.
