Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Services
Scott Bell was hired as associate vice chancellor for facilities services in November 2010.
A 1982 graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Bell has 28 years of experience in the Alaska design and construction industry, including work on several UAF projects. From 2006 to 2010 he was the owner of Bell Design Group, a Fairbanks-based mechanical and fire-protection engineering firm. Before that he worked as a mechanical engineer, project manager, and department manager for engineering firms USKH, CMH Environmental Group and J.S. Strandberg Consulting Engineers.
Bell serves on the board of the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation and chairs its construction committee.
He is married to Cathy Walling and has four children, three still residing in Fairbanks.
