Prospective Undergraduate Students

The UAF College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences offers a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, a Minor in Fisheries and a Minor in Marine Science.

We offer undergraduate students the unique option of studying at other University of Alaska campuses for a portion of their undergraduate degree. This program provides flexibility to students and allows them to take advantage of the diverse opportunities found in Alaska’s coastal and Interior communities.

At UAF CFOS, we emphasize the importance of learning not only in the classroom, but also through hands-on learning: internships, research in the lab and out in the field, and the opportunity to work directly with fisheries professionals in different communities across Alaska.

Where can I study?

The UAF College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences has fisheries facilities in both Fairbanks and Juneau.  We have students and faculty located in Fairbanks, Juneau (and spread across the state of Alaska), so most of our courses are offered via video conference.

Begin your studies at any UA campus, finish in Fairbanks or Juneau!
