Danielle Ringer - Graduate student-M.A. Interdisciplinary Studies: Sustainability of Rural Fishing Communities

Danielle is from Homer, Alaska and received her B.A. degree in Anthropology/Sociology from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree working as the Kodiak research assistant on the Graying of the Fleet in Alaska's Fisheries: Defining the Problem and Assessing Alternatives study. Danielle's focuses on coastal community development strategies and her work seeks to better understand issues impacting current stakeholders and the next generation of commercial fishermen, including entry and exit barriers as well as upward mobility within the industry.
