Available Online Only. Interior Alaska is projected to become warmer and drier over the next century. This publication lists some of the changes expected to come about as a result of increasing temperatures, such as shifts in vegetation, fire regimes, and wildlife habitat and migration patterns as well as an increase in insect outbreaks, fires and damage due to thawing permafrost.
