Free monthly webinars held through the winter and spring will cover a variety of subjects related to integrated pest management. Webinars last about an hour and a half with approximately 50 minutes of instruction and a half hour for questions and discussion. Most of the webinars will be worth continuing education units for certified pesticide applicators in Alaska. Currently, to recieve certified applicator credits you must complete the short entrance and exit surveys.
Webinars are run through Elluminate Live web presentation software. Your computer will run this software through the latest version of Java. To determine if you have the required version of Java and download it if you do not, go to www.elluminate.com/support/. Taking the online tutorial accessed from the Elluminate Live support page is suggested. Also see the To Participate in Webinars document. You may also contact Gino Graziano (gagraziano@alaska.edu, 907-786-6315) to ask for assitance or a demonstration.
To participate, you must register by the Monday before the course. To register select the webinar and fill out the pre-webinar entrance survey providing at minimum your name and e-mail address. You will recieve an e-mail with more information and a link to access the webinar the Tuesday before the course. Click on the links to the webinars below to sign up.
