Water Discovery Days

Cooperative Extension Service participaged in BLM's Campbell Creek Science Center Water Discovery Days Sept. 11-13. During the three days 832 fourth graders from 17 different schools in the Anchorage School District participated in a hands-on learning environment. There were also 272 adult chaperones and over 32 staff and volunteers serving a variety of experiential stations along Campbell Creek. The students experienced the wonders of an outdoor classroom where they learned about:
- Campbell Creek watershed
- Water quality
- Fish and aquatic insects that depend on Campbell Creek
