Welcome to Michele's Garden!

Hello and welcome to my gardening site. I am a former agent for the Cooperative Extension Service in the Tanana Valley, and currently serve as the director for the Office of Sustainability at UAF. One of my favorite programs has always been the Master Gardener program.

This site can help you learn about gardening in Alaska and connect to the statewide Master Gardener association. There is a collection of over 100 articles I wrote on gardening. Dig right into the Master Gardener Class link to learn how to become a Master Gardener and see the class schedules.

If at any time you have any questions, please email me by clicking on the link provided below. You can also read about how I got started in gardening.

Gardening Articles

This page provides a copy of Michele's articles, which for the most part have appeared in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. They cover a broad range of gardening topics. Additional articles about topics other than gardening are provided under the "other" category. They include articles about water quality, indoor air quality and other issues related to living in the North.
