| If you know of a house/building/structure that demonstrates the challenges of building in Alaska and would like to share it with us, please send a picture and a short description of the structure and its features to Rich Seifert. | |
Zero Energy House This is the "Nullenergihuset", the zero energy house, the first of its kind, built at the Technical University of Denmark in 1974. It was a fairly successful attempt to demonstrate that a house could be entirely heated from the solar energy it collects in the summer, throughout the whole winter. The original concept was originated by Professor Vagn Korsgaard, then a professor at the Technical University of Denmark. Photo by Rich Seifert |
