Conference Information

We are pleased to announce an opportunity to exhibit at the 2012 Alaska Wood Energy Conference in Ketchikan, Alaska. Our theme for this year’s conference is “Biomass for Sustainable Communities.” We will present examples of success stories from around Alaska, along with information on determining if biomass is a good option for your community and the latest cutting-edge technology appropriate for Alaska.

About the AWEC Conference

Anticipated registration for the 2012 Alaska Wood Energy Conference is 200 individuals from across Alaska and neighboring countries to share information and provide training on important issues about biomass utilization in Alaska. The conference is scheduled for Oct. 9–10 and will be held at the Ted Ferry Civic Center in downtown Ketchikan. This is a great opportunity to network and share your services and expertise with a broad range of individuals over three days.

Special just for Exhibitors

  • Exhibitor booths will include one complimentary registration pass for exhibit staff to attend conference sessions and lunches. Additional registrations may be purchased at a reduced rate.
  • Exhibitors can request additional conference name tags for staff not attending any conference activities. Meal tickets can be purchased separately for booth staff for lunches and the Evening Social Event at the Discovery Center. Booth staff are all invited to the Resource Fair with no additional charge.

Exhibit Dates and Primary Hours

§   Tuesday, Oct. 9: Exhibitor Set-Up                                               3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

§   Wednesday, Oct. 10: Show                                                         7:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

§   Thursday, Oct. 11: Show                                                            7:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

§   Thursday, Oct. 11: Exhibitor Tear-Down                                      1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.

Investment to Exhibit

Exhibit Space is 8 ft. x 10 ft.

§   Commercial Vendor (8-ft. table)                                                              $375

     (includes one conference registration and lunches for both days)

§   Agency/Nonprofit (8-ft. table)                                                                 $225

     (includes one conference registration and lunches for both days)

Exhibit spaces include:

  • One table, with table cloth and skirt
  • Two chairs 

Booths are not automatically equipped with electricity or internet access. Electricity may be added for an additional cost. Internet connection may be ordered directly from the Ted Ferry Center. Details will be provided as requested.

Booths do not come with a sign. If you would like a sign made for your booth, it may be ordered for an additional cost. Details will be provided as requested.

To reserve an exhibit space

Space is limited and booths are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis upon acceptance of your application and approval from the conference planning committee. The committee reserves the right to refuse any vendor it determines is not appropriate for the conference. Payment must accompany this application before a reservation can be made.

Registration and cancellation deadline–September 17, 2012

We encourage exhibitors to register as soon as possible, as space is limited. A refund, less a processing fee of $75, will be issued to those who cancel their booth in writing before Sept. 17, 2012. NO refunds will be issued after Sept. 17, 2012.
