Alaska is looking forward to hosting the 2004 Western Regional 4-H Leaders Forum -
Plan to join us in Anchorage, March 3-6, 2004!
The first Regional 4-H Volunteer Leaders Forum was held in the Western Region
in 1966, at Pacific Grove, California. The forum was a "train-the-trainer"
program. Those who participated were expected to share what they learned with other
volunteers in their home states and territories. Since that time forums have been
developed in all four Extension regions. Each forum reflects the unique
characteristics of its region. While there are many differences among the four
regional forums, they share the same purpose: to equip participants with knowledge
and skills they can share with other volunteers.
