4-H Afterschool
Afterschool 4-H clubs are gaining in popularity. Generally, the most effective way to deliver an afterschool 4-H club is by developing a partnership to offer a 4-H club within an existing afterschool (AS) program. This gives kids time for experience with some leadership in club officer roles while also experiencing hands-on learning activiites that may reinforce concepts learned in the classroom. Here are a few sites with resources to get you started:
The national 4-H AS site has good resources, especially the training pieces and tips for how to get the program up and running:

The site above also offers information on funding opportunities and some basic information. Click on the "resources" tab and you'll see wonderful items on training and getting a program started.
Several states have compiled resource lists. A couple to check out include:

Scroll down toward the bottom of Utah's site for lessons/activities. You can browse by age or subject matter.

These links are great for club officers. The resources here are kind of "cheat sheets" for youth to refer to so they don't feel like they don't know what to do.
