University of Alaska Press
The University of Alaska Press publishes and distributes scholarly nonfiction that is related to Alaska, the North Pacific Rim and circumpolar regions. The UA Press provides Alaska’s statewide system of higher education and the Alaska public with a shared intellectual resource. Through presentations of the publishing process, it provides an educational resource for journalism students.
A nine-member editorial board has the final authority for books bearing the UA Press imprint. Each year the Press releases new titles and prints new editions of previously published and out-of-print works.
