Campus Resources: What's Available

The Theatre Department at UAF (Theatre UAF) offers an annual season of four mainstage plays and two presentations of one-act plays. The one acts or "Winter Shorts" are directed and produced by members of the Student Drama Association (SDA). In addition, Theatre UAF and SDA frequently host special events such as dances, talent nights, staged readings of new plays and presentations of experimental works. Tickets for all Theatre UAF productions are offered to students at a 50 percent discount. Performances are held either in the Salisbury Theatre or the Lab Theatre (see campus map). Auditions for Mainstage productions and Winter Shorts are held at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters and are open to all students and community members. For more information, call the Theatre Department office at (907) 474-6590 or the Theatre UAF Ticket Office at (907) 474-7751 or the SDA office at (907) 474-5950, or web www.uaf.edu/theatre/. The Theatre Department offices are located on the east side of the Regents' Great Hall.
