Attend Job Fairs and Career Events
Are you looking for an easy way to connect with employers that hire UAF students and alumni? Every year, Career Services coordinates several job fairs and career-related events to connect students and employers. This is your opportunity to gather information about fields of interest and specific organizations, build your network of contacts, explore internship possibilities, and learn about post-graduate career opportunities. A majority of companies and organizations at the fairs are currently hiring and those organizations want to stay in contact with students and alumni for future opportunities.
To help you get ready for the job fairs and career events, meet with a career counselor to review your resume, read tips on attending fairs, and attend an upcoming event. When you talk with an employer or another networking contact, giving them a business card can make a great impression. It is easy to make a business card at home.
To find out which employers or organizations are coming to a specific fair, login to UAFCareerConnect, if you are a student or alumni. Community members are welcome to come to most of the events sponsored by Career Services. Return to this site for future updates regarding employers or organizations registered to attend the events.
