The UAF Exceptional Student Employee Award serves to recognize and honor the student employees working at UAF. The award was created in 1999 , and thus far, 63 recipients and 259 nominees have been recognized for their positive contributions to our campus community. Characteristics of exceptional student employees include leadership, dedication to UAF's mission, and the ability to balance work, school, and other activities.

Each recipient of the award receives an engraved plaque, a place on the plaque kept in the Department of Career Services.

There are over a thousand student employees at UAF; each one playing a crucial role in the success of UAF's departments and programs.
