West Ridge Greenhouse
The West Ridge greenhouse is operated by the School of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences. Students and faculty conduct research on how various plants react to different types of light exposure. Researchers help develop strains of short grains (oats, barley and wheat) that thrive in subarctic conditions and develop strains of perennials, such as strawberries, suitable for the local climate.
