



West Ridge
SCIENCE CENTER--West Ridge is a center for scientific research and instruction. West Ridge includes facilities for investigating the aurora borealis, geophysics, global climate change, arctic phenomena, arctic biology, fisheries, the health of arctic peoples and other subjects. Many fields of science provide students with opportunities to study throughout Alaska--outside the classroom--in areas such as archaeology, glaciology, wildlife, marine sciences and natural resources. A kiosk tour of the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center is available in the Butrovich Building. Call 907-450-8600 for information.
