Butrovich Building

The 93,000-square-foot Butrovich Building houses the University of Alaskas statewide administration and the high-powered hardware of the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center. Fairbanks pioneer John Butrovich was born at a mining camp north of Fairbanks in 1910, served 34 years in the Alaska Territorial Senate and was a leader in the movement for Alaska statehood.
