Find some good deals on great reads at the Alaska Book Festival Book Sale in the Exhibit Hall in the Centennial Center for the Arts at Pioneer Park.
Schedule:
10:30 to Noon: Special public preview ($10 admission charged at the door.)
Noon-7:00 pm: Public sale: free to all comers
7:00-8:00 pm: Discount Hour (At the discretion of the seller, prices may be reduced to rock bottom for final sales!)

2010 Presenters
July 14: Tom Bundtzen will present on Alaska Mining & Geology. With 25 years as a senior economic geologist with the geological survey division in the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, come hear what Tom has to say about the books that he would put on his must read list.
Must reads...
July 21: Dirk Tordoff will enumerate his five must reads on Alaska Aviation. Dirk has a passion for aviation evidenced in the publication of his book Mercy Pilot: The Joe Crosson Story.
July 28: Peggy Shumaker will moderate a panel of poets (Derick Burleson, Cindy Hardy, and Jeanne Clark) as they discuss what they think to be Alaska's best poetry collections.
August 11: Bruce Molnia, a world renowned glaciologist and author of Glaciers of Alaska will bring his years of expertise to us as he presents what he considers the five must reads for those interested in glaciology.
August 18: Come hear Greg Hill and Dermot Cole spar on the five must reads for those new to Alaska. Both write columns for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner and both are long-time residents of Fairbanks with a love of the written word and a great sense of humor. Should be an enjoyable evening of wit and wisdom.

August 25: Come hear special guest author Charles Wohlforth speak about his new release The Fate of Nature. He will be speaking at the Davis Concert Hall this Wednesday evening.
