The Alaska Summer Research Academy (ASRA) is a fun two week academic experience offered by the College of Natural Science and Mathematics in cooperation with the University of Alaska Fairbanks and industry partners. ASRA provides an opportunity for students in grades 8-12 to live on the UAF campus and work with university faculty, staff, and industry professionals.

Alaska BioPREP offers two of the sixteen modules available in ASRA: Biomedicine or Genetics. Instructors use hands-on techniques instead of the traditional “lecture-style” approach. Students earn one college credit upon completion of the program.
