Sustainable Energy

The Sustainable Energy Program at the UAF Bristol Bay Campus began in 2009 with the creation of the Sustainable Energy Initiative.  Our mission is to help decrease fossil fuel consumption and lower energy costs throughout the Bristol Bay region and beyond.  In addition to teaching energy-related courses we are involved in community outreach projects and research.  We are now offering an Occupational Endorsement in Sustainable Energy.  For more information about our program including how to register for upcoming courses please call 1-800-478-5109 or email cochambers@alaska.edu.

There is space available in ENVI 193: Passive House/Energy Efficient Construction offered June 8-10 in Dillingham.  Tuition is grant funded at no charge to the student and there is some travel funding available.

We are currently accepting registrations for ENVI 220- Introduction to Sustainable Energy (to be offered online Fall 2012 semester) and some scholarships are available.
