The main campus building is now complete after major constrution and renovation in 2006. The Bristol Bay Campus now features several new classrooms with facilities for academic and vocational training that will increase course offering in these areas. The Student Services Department is available to assist with tutoring, advising, financial aid, admissions, registration, testing, and a host of other areas. The Bristol Bay Campus is working in partnership with local entities to provide vocationa/technical training to the residents of Bristol Bay. Building maintenance and repair, carpentry, welding, technology, and small business development are opportunities offered by the Campus and its two satellite centers in King Salmon and Togiak. Additional coursework is provided in villages with a traveling computer lab and a traveling construction lab. A new welding center in Dillingham will increase capabilities and offerings in the welding field (i.e., sheilded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, and gas tungsten arc welding). The Adult Basic Education (ABE/GED) Program is a vital part of the Bristol Bay Campus. It provides adult basic education through high school level for Bristol Bay adults and serves as a gateway for many students into higher education and vocational training. A growing interest in environmental issues resulted in the development of an on-site environmental science lab in Dillingham. Students participate in developing research projects, data collection and analysis, and present their findings at local, regional, statewide, and international conferences. Other programs include Technical Preparation with High Schools (Tech Prep), and dual credit courses that provide additional opportunities for rural high school students in their home communities.
