Organization
The UAF Bookstore is operated by UAF Auxiliary & Business Services UAF Administrative Services

Since fall of 2003, the mandate of UAF Auxiliary and Business Services (AUXBUS) was to maximize efficiencies of separate auxiliary and recharge units through consolidation of management practices and business procedures.  The new organization, reporting to the office of the Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services, was tasked with solidifying similar enterprises under one common organizational philosophy, developing more cost efficient methods in overall operations and establishing common and shared business standards amongst these units to yield better financial and programmatic performance.

The units of UAF AUXBUS provide a wide range of services and products to enhance the educational experience and campus life to a large customer base which includes departments, students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and visitors. UAF AUXBUS is comprised of four primary business areas: Bookstore; Printing Services & Copy Pool; PolarExpress One-Card program; and Dining Services (including vending).

While each business function is dedicated to fulfilling a specific need, the compulsory thread throughout each program is a unified organizational structure. This structure is charged with providing high quality products and credible efficient services at the best education pricing and value available.
