ASRA begins on Monday, July 15th at noon and ends Friday, July 26th at 4 pm.

Once you are placed in an ASRA module, please make your travel plans as soon as possible.  Airfares increase constantly in the summer and seats fill up quickly. Send your itinerary to Lori Gildehaus at 907-474-7221 or email to lagildehaus@alaska.edu.

Students from out of town should arrive no earlier than Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm, July 14, 2013.  There no activities planned for this day. This is only an option for students from out of town who cannot arrive Monday morning due to flight schedules.

Many flights from out of state will arrive at 1 am on Monday, July 15th.  This is not a problem and our staff is available to pickup students 24 hours a day. Students will remain in the care of ASRA until staff delivers them to the airport for departure.

Departures should be scheduled after 4 pm on Friday, July 26th. Alaska Airlines flight #190 departs Fairbanks at 5:55 pm. If necessary, students may stay overnight on Friday and depart on Saturday, July 27th no later than 12:00 noon.

The Fairbanks International Airport is small, and there is only one exit from the arrival area. It will be easy for students to find the ASRA welcoming party, and staff will be looking for the students. The airport is located about 10 minutes from the UAF campus.
