FAQ for accepted students

Where do I drop my child off?

All students should be droppd off at the back door of the Reichardt Building between 8:45 and 9:00 am. They must be picked up at the same location at 5:00 pm.

Does my child need to bring a lunch?
All students need to bring a sack lunch and appropriate clothing for spending time outside.

What are the dates of ASRA?
June 18 - 29, 2012.

Who can apply?
Students entering grades 7 - 12 in the fall (rising 7th-12th graders) . Some modules are for 7th - 9th graders and others are for 9th - 12th graders.

Will I live in the dorms?
No. Students in the June program attend weekdays from 9 am - 5pm.

We are not able to supervise students after 5 pm. Parents and family friends can contact UAF Conference Services to inquire about renting dorm rooms where they can stay with their son or daughter.

Can you find housing for my out-of-town student?
No. We are sorry that we cannot provide that service. 

How much does it cost?
$600

Is there a deposit?
No. In past years there was a $50 deposit, but we have eliminated that requirement. 

Can I take two modules at the same time?
Students choose one module for the entire program. 

Do I get college credit?
No, we do not offer college credit for this program.

What if I can't afford to come?
Fill out the financial aid form on the application link.

Can I use the UA employee tuition waiver to pay for ASRA?
No, the tuition waiver does not cover ASRA.
