What are the dates of ASRA?
July 16- 27, 2012.

What is the difference between the June and July programs?
In June, students do not live on campus or attend their module on the weekend.

In July, ASRA all students live in the dorms. Students may not leave campus to go home or attend other activities (soccer, attend classes, visit with family etc.)

Who can apply?
Students entering grades 9 - 12 in the fall of 2012.

Where do the modules take place?
All July modules begin and end in Fairbanks, Alaska including those that travel to remote locations.

How many modules can I take?
Students attend one module for the two weeks.

Will I live in the dorm?
Yes. All students live on campus and may not leave to go home, visit with friends, play sports or any other event that is not part of their module or ASRA.

How do I apply?
Applications will be available in January. The application deadline is February 29, 2012.

How much does it cost?
Most modules are $1,200. However, those modules that take students on remote trips range from $1,250 - $1,600. Please click on a module page for specific information.

What if I can't afford the tuition?
Please fill out the financial aid form along with your application. The link is under "Application." Check the link on the left side menu for details about scholarships that are available.

Can I use the UA employee tuition waiver to pay for ASRA?
No, we're sorry but the waiver does not cover the cost of ASRA.
