Treasure Hunt in Alaska

Treasure Hunt in Alaska is a story designed to introduce students to SAR remote sensing. The website clicks through like a book, and has many beautiful pictures and useful diagrams.

Polar Remote Sensing

(From the site): This resource is a growing collection of selected case studies that are based on the use of remote sensing data and tools to study various features and phenomena operating in the Polar Regions. The case studies are generated from research work of polar researchers, and research projects of graduate and undergraduate students.

The target audience for this resource is post-secondary students and faculty following/teaching Earth System Science courses, and more specifically upper-undergraduate level remote sensing courses. The resource is developed with the assumption that the student has basic knowledge of remote sensing principles; data; processing and analysis techniques.

Alaska Volcano Explorer

Alaska Volcano Explorer is a great educational resource. The site has an interactive section for kids K-6. The site also has lesson plans and other resources for teachers and parents to download.
