One of the collaborations between UAF's performance Team and Japans Tokai University Student Rocket Project is a wind tunnel model of TR1. This model is being designed and built by the UAF performance team and will then be sent to Tokai for implementation into their wind tunnel where force measurements will be taken and translated into drag force coefficients. These coefficients will be used at UAF in the computer programs utilized for predicting the rocket trajectory and range. The model is 1/8 th scale of TR1 giving it geometric similarity and the Reynolds number of the rocket and the model are the same to give it dynamic similarity.
