The UAF Art Department works in partnership with arts and cultural organizations statewide including:
- Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival
- Fairbanks Arts Association
- Alaska Native Hospital Auxiliary
- Alaska Native Arts Foundation
- Alaska Native Corporations and organizations.
The Art Department also provides:
- Referrals for artists to educators, museums, and galleries
- Public lectures by visiting artists
- Community exhibitions and special events
- Art classes for youth through the UAF Summer Visual Art Academy.
In addition, the UAF Art Department provides services to UA campuses and schools throughout the north through outreach events. Recent events include:
- A site visit to Nome’s Rural College for a ceramics workshop (2006)
- A one week gathering of Native carvers in Old Harbor, co-sponsored by the Alutiiq Museum and UAF Native Art Center (2006)
- Consultation and services to the University of the North in Dawson City
- School visits by faculty and students for the purposes of recruitment and education
