Milton Cox is a mathematics teacher with 30 years of classroom experience and a long record of success as director of teaching enhancement programs, journal editor, and contributor to the literature on college teaching and learning. At Miami University of Ohio, he initiated and directed the Hesburgh Award–winning Teaching Scholars Community project, coordinated a dozen faculty learning communities, developed classroom strategies that enabled undergraduate students to present papers at national conferences, and received the C. C. Mac Duffie Award for Distinguished Service to Pi Mu Epsilon, the National Mathematics Honorary Society.
