Resources:  Zooarcheology lab, PC computer lab, and faunal lab and extensive circumpolar and Alaska collections of the University of Alaska Museum. Other resources include:  Rasmuson Library with an excellent collection on circumpolar and Alaskan studies, Arctic Region Supercomputing Center, plus UNIX and other mainframe computers and software.

Financial Aid: 10-15 Anthropology Graduate Teaching and Research Assistantships ($8,000-$10,500 per academic year) plus tuition waivers, numerous fellowships and scholarships, many student worker positions, and resident tuition after just one semester in full-time residence. 

City of Fairbanks: Located in Alaska's interior, the city provides an urban environment with all the amenities -- yet it is surrounded by unspoiled forests, mountains, lakes, and rivers.  It is within driving distance to Denali Park (Mt. McKinley), Anchorage, and the Arctic Circle.
