This teaching book is the product of collaborative research and writing by Ellen Frank of Minto and James Kari, UAF professor emeritus. The original recordings and transcriptions were made in 1996. In 2006, James Kari and Siri Tuttle of the Alaska Native Language Center reformatted and edited the lessons, adjusting the spelling system to reflect community preferences. With illustrations and photos. The accompanying CD audio recordings (with the voice of Mrs. Frank) have been edited and coordinated with the text.
