Registration FeeA small registration fee will be charged to cover the cost of the meeting space, coffee, and a banquet on Tuesday evening. The conference fee is discounted for student and unemployed participants.
Conference BanquetPlease join us for a post-conference banquet on the evening of June 18 at the Chena River Convenion Center. In addition to a feast of traditional foods, the banquet will feature entertainment by Alaskan dance groups and an awards ceremony for the 2002 Athabascan Language Development Institute. Please indicate on your registration form if you plan to attend the banquet. ExcursionOn Wednesday, June 19 we will sponsor a post-conference excursion to an Gaalee'yaa Spirit Camp, a traditional Athabascan camp on the Tanana River. Please indicate on your registration form if you plan to join us for the excursion so that we can plan transportation accordingly. There is a small fee of $20 to cover the cost of boat transportation across the river. Travel SupportA limited number of stipends are available to assist with attendance at the 2002 conference. Preference will be given to conference presenters, students, Native speakers of Athabascan, those lacking institutional support, and those encountering high travel costs to Fairbanks. Stipend awards will average US $200 and will be distributed in the form of a reimbursement check at the conference. An application form is included with the registration materials. Deadline for the receipt of travel support application is May 1, 2002. Awards will be announced May 3, 2002. |
