Smithers and Moricetown, British Columbia
This years conference we will try to include a multi-media fair: informal presentations or demonstrations of products that have been produced for Athabaskan languages that combine more than one medium of presentation; e.g. computer-based products that allow the user to hear audio as well as see a visual representation of the language.
The exact form of the multi-media fair will depend in part on the number of people who wish to make presentations or demonstrations, and also on the availability of equipment. We may schedule presentations sequentially, as in the rest of the conference, or simply position people informally around the room so that conference participants can wander and take in whichever presentation they like.
Funding for the conference is being provided by Kyah Wiget Education Society, the University of Washington, and your conference registration fees.
