Title Alaskan Innuit vocabularies.
Description:
Ms.  Two lists, Eskimo-English (190 pp.), and English-Eskimo (219 pp.) with brief introduction.  Lexicon from St. Michael ("Unalit," largest amount, ca. 2,500 items), Pastolik (Kotlik dialect), "Mission" (Ikogmiut, Russian Mission), Kolmakovsky (Kuskokwim), Cape Vancouver (Tununak), Nunivak Island, all Central Yupik; "Malimiut" (Kobuk-Deering dialect), Selawik, Cape Nome, Sledge Island, King Island, and Diomede, all Inupiaq.  Combined compilation of original lists, not located, from fieldwork 1877-1881.  In Pilling, 1887.67, it is noted that Nelson had finished the first part by 1887 and was then working on the second part.
