Description:

Overview of collection of 60 tapes produced 1987-1988 as part of the U.S. Air Force Over-the-Horizon Backscatter Radar project. 1987 recordings supervised by Bill Simeone, with assistance of Debbie Thomas, Larry Jonathan, and Bella Paul. 1988 recordings supervised by Craig Mishler with assistance of Alice Brean. Tapes are recorded in both Tanacross and English. Significant documentation of oral history and place names.
